In October 2011, Microlease acquired MetricTest.  Founded in 1979, Microlease is the number one test and measurement rental company in Europe and ships equipment to over 85 different countries worldwide. We have corporate operations and labs in Hayward, CA and Cary, NC, with regional sales support in all major markets in the US.

Territory Account Manager

Responsible for achieving sales objectives and margin targets in assigned accounts and territories while maximizing customer satisfaction. Excellent ability and track record to drive territory revenue growth through professional selling techniques including understanding the customer’s business, the organization and political structure, buying process, competitive issues and the customer’s applications. Working with his/her assigned team, develops and executes territory and account plans, strategies, and tactics to penetrate accounts positioning MetricTest to win a growing share of the customer’s expenditures on T&M equipment and services. Provides technical and application support and professionally orchestrates and utilizes all appropriate MetricTest resources, to win business and over achieve quota objectives. Possesses excellent telephone, written communication and face-to-face presentation skills. Presents proposals/quotations and negotiates satisfactory agreements between MetricTest and the customer. Exhibits leadership in providing input to the organization on customer requirements to improve our programs, products and services to meet the dynamic needs of our customers. Ability to work with our CRM system to maximize effectiveness, and provide forecast and management planning information. Demonstrates strong technical aptitude and desire to grow these skills as well as ease in using the Microsoft Office Suite of products. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with customers, dealers, partners and fellow MetricTest team members.

    Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing and/or engineering preferred. Minimum of an associates degree or equivalent with working knowledge of electronics and instrumentation. Experience in the test & measurement industry highly desirable.
  • Excellent telephone and organization skills required.
  • Effective and professional communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Recognized problem solver with ability to interface with many departments.
  • Ability to multi-task, maintain CRM database and work with the Microsoft Office Suite of applications (Word, Excel, etc.)

Field Account Executive (various cities and states available)

Field sales position responsible for maintaining and developing new business in a specific geographic territory while maximizing customer satisfaction. Excellent ability and track record to drive territory revenue growth through professional selling techniques including understanding the customer’s business, the organization and political structure, buying process, competitive issues and the customer’s applications. Develops plans, strategies and tactics to penetrate accounts positioning MetricTest to win a growing share of the customer’s expenditures on T&M equipment and services. Professionally orchestrates and utilizes all appropriate MetricTest and business partner resources, including technical sales resources, to win business and over achieve quota objectives. Possesses excellent telephone, written communication and face-to-face presentation skills. Presents proposals/quotations and negotiates satisfactory agreements between MetricTest and the customer. Exhibits leadership in providing input to the organization on customer requirements to improve our programs, products and services to meet the dynamic needs of our customers. Ability to work with our CRM system to maximize effectiveness and provide forecast and management planning information.  Demonstrates technical aptitude as well as ease in using the Microsoft Office Suite of products.  Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with customers, MetricTest business partners, and fellow MetricTest team members.  Since this position requires customer contact in the field, the ability and willingness to travel is critical.

    Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing and/or engineering preferred. Minimum of an associates degree or equivalent with working knowledge of electronics.
  • Experience in the test & measurement industry highly desirable.
  • Minimum of five years corporate sales experience and a demonstrated track record of exceeding quota.
  • Exhibits highly developed levels of self-initiation and motivation. 

Regional Inside Sales Representative

Due to our continued growth as a leader in the Test and Measurement business, we are seeking a highly motivated, team oriented Regional Inside Sales professional for a very fast paced territory. Our customer base includes some of the largest and most respected high tech organizations in the world including companies such as Intel, IBM, Microsoft, Boeing, Texas Instruments and Siemens. This is an excellent opportunity to participate in a growing, fast paced, challenging environment with a company recognized by our customers for providing a comprehensive set of Test and Measurement solutions with superior customer support and service.

This position will report to and work closely with the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) and their respective sales teams to develop and execute effective telemarketing, prospecting and quote follow up activities. As a key driver of lead generation, the Regional Inside Sales Representative will proactively utilize our CRM database, telephone, industry news sources, and web leads to uncover sales opportunities. The successful candidate should possess excellent telephone, written communication and customer service skills, as well as demonstrate the desire and aptitude to quickly learn the breadth and technical aspects of our product offering. In summary, we are looking for an energetic, highly motivated, customer focused individual who is looking to either enter or grow their sales career with a company with great people, great customers and great opportunities.

    Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing and/or engineering preferred. Minimum of an associates degree or equivalent with working knowledge of electronics.
  • Minimum of one year previous selling experience preferred
  • Experience in the test & measurement industry highly desirable

MetricTest Benefits

Medical Insurance - In California we offer Kaiser Permanente (HMO) or Anthem/Blue Cross (HMO or PPO). Outside of California we offer Anthem/Blue Cross (PPO). Employee contributions are pre-taxed at 30% of total premium coverage selected.

Dental Insurance - There are three plans to choose from EPO (Exclusive provider organization), in-network and out-of-network co-pay options. Employee contributions are pre-taxed and the amount is dependent upon wage and coverage selection.

Vision Insurance - Benefits include normal exams thru the Medical Insurance.

Life Insurance - All employees receive life insurance equivalent to two times their annual compensation with a maximum benefit of $300k. This benefit is paid 100% by MetricTest.

Short Term - 60% of pre-disability earnings starting on the 15th day of disability. This benefit is paid 100% by MetricTest.

Long Term Disability - Benefits equal 60% (up to a maximum of $10,000 monthly) of your monthly income, reduced by other deductible income. Benefits begin after 90 days of disability. This benefit is paid 100% by MetricTest.

Employee Assistance Program - A 100% company paid benefit for all employees and their eligible dependents.

401(k) Plan - New employees are eligible to enroll in the 401(k) plan on the first of the quarter following the completion of 90 days of employment and may immediately roll over any funds from other 401(k) plans. Employees may contribute up to 90% of their gross income, with an allowable maximum of $17,000 for 2012. For employees age 50 or older, the annual allowable maximum for 2009 is $22,500. The company will match 25% of the first 6% contribution. We offer a selection of investment vehicles and the ability to freely move your investments or make changes in your contribution level.

Direct Deposit - Employees may elect to have their paycheck directly deposited electronically into a checking or savings account or both.

Banking Programs - MetricTest has special banking programs through Comerica that include but not limited to free checking.
