Calibration and Repair Technician
Field Account Executive
- Position Summary:
Field sales position responsible for maintaining and developing new business in a specific geographic territory. Excellent
ability and track record to drive territory revenue growth through professional selling techniques including understanding the
customer’s business, the organization and political structure, buying process, competitive issues and the customer’s
applications. Develops plans, strategies and tactics to penetrate accounts positioning MetricTest to win a growing share of
the customer’s expenditures on T&M equipment and services. Professionally orchestrates and utilizes all appropriate MetricTest
resources, including technical sales resources, to win business and overachieve quota objectives. Possesses excellent telephone,
written communication and face-to-face presentation skills. Presents proposals/quotations and negotiates satisfactory
agreements between MetricTest and the customer. Exhibits leadership in providing input to the organization on customer
requirements to improve our programs, products and services to meet the dynamic needs of our customers. Ability to work with
our CRM system to maximize effectiveness, and provide forecast and management planning information. Demonstrates technical
aptitude as well as ease in using the Microsoft Office Suite of products. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to
develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with both customers and fellow MetricTest team members. Since this
position requires customer contact in the field, the ability and willingness to travel is critical.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed established quota objectives (less than 75% is not acceptable)
- Leverage both telephone selling techniques and face-to-face customer calls to maximize revenue generation
- Establish strong working relationships with MetricTest partners (e.g. Agilent, Rohde & Schwarz etc.)
- Develop successful account plans utilizing both MetricTest and partner resources to meet account objectives
- Establish a deep understanding/partnership with each account to position MetricTest as a value added supplier and drive customer retention
- Jointly develop with Marketing targeted presentations, proposals/quotations, etouches and other programs that will differentiate MetricTest from the competition and improve sales success
- Develop and grow knowledge of MetricTest’s products and services
- Ensure high customer satisfaction in all accounts
- Exhibit the utmost professionalism at all times
- Complete other assignments/projects, as needed
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing and/or engineering preferred. Minimum of an associates degree or
equivalent with working knowledge of electronics and instrumentation. Experience in the test & measurement
industry highly desirable.
- Excellent telephone and organization skills required
- Effective and professional communication skills - verbal and written
- Recognized problem solver with ability to interface with many departments
- Ability to multi-task, maintain database and work with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to travel 1-2 times quarterly to territory
Calibration and Repair Technician
- Responsibilities:
Calibrate, test, and repair test and measuring equipment (T&ME).
Performs traceable calibration using appropriate standards; make precision
adjustment and/or compile calibration data to ensure appropriate transfer
of accuracies from standards to unit under test and establish, through
mathematical process, levels of uncertainty pertaining to those standards.
Identify and repair malfunctions and restore to proper operating condition.
Candidate must have a solid background in troubleshooting.
- Requirements:
Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience performing electronic test equipment
for repair and calibration.
- Essential:
- Knowledge and experience in theoretical and practical application
of electronics.
- Knowledge and ability to apply metrological concepts using laboratory
standards.
- Must be able to interpret and apply manufacture's calibration specifications
and procedures.
- Must have practical experience in repair/calibration of M&TE.
- Must be familiar with ISO 10012/GUIDE 25 and ISO 9000 procedures.
- Must possess a 2-year degree in elec/PMEL training or equivalent metrology
experience.
- Must have in-depth knowledge of electronic concepts and schematic interpretations.
