Agilent 81101A Pulse Generator, 50 MHz
The Agilent 81101A 50 MHz single-channel pulse generator is the low-end
of the 81100 family. All timing parameters (repetition rate, delay, width
and transitions) are variable. The instrument includes an additional PLL
oscillator which allows the repetition rate to be set with 0.01% accuracy.
Double-pulses and pulse bursts are available. These and single pulses
can be triggered externally when the PLL is off. Bursts can also be triggered
by the internal PLL when not in use as the repetition-rate generator.
There is also an external width (pulse recovery) mode.
The selectable 50 / 1000 ohm source resistance allows output amplitudes
up to 10 or 20 Vpp respectively into a 50-ohm load.
Key Features and Specifications
- 50 MHz, 10 V from 50 Ohm into 50 Ohm
- Triggerable / PLL operation selectable
- Pulse / burst modes selectable
- Variable transition times
- BNC outputs, single-ended
Agilent 81104A Pulse/Pattern Generator, 80 MHz
Agilent 81104A 80 MHz single-/dual-channel pulse/pattern generator with
one or two Agilent 81105A ouput modules:
Building on the 81101A's capabilities, the 81104A extends the frequency
and adds RZ/NRZ pattern capability up to 16 kbit per channel. An NRZ strobe
channel provides a trigger at any desired point in the pattern, or can be
used as an additional pattern source. If two 81105A Output modules are fitted,
the outputs can be added. This allows different pulse shapes for simulating
glitches, testing clock-recovery circuits or generating 3- or 4- level codes.
Channel-add and 1000-ohm source modes each operate up to about 60 MHz. Combined,
the maximum speed is about 15 MHz.
Each Agilent 81104A 80 MHz single- or dual-channel pulse/pattern generator
requires 1 or 2 output modules Agilent 81105A.
