- Rogue AP detection - WaveRunner allows you to view unauthorized
access points on your network so you can find the rouge equipment compromising
your network's security. Now you have the information necessary to create
and enforce your organization's wireless outlaw policy.
- Design - WaveRunner enables you to plan and measure access
point location and configuration to maximize coverage while minimizing
installation costs. Wireless LAN projects can incur high costs, WaveRunner
enables you to complete a smart design in the beginning, allowing you
to prevent costly fixes in the future.
- Deployment - Once wireless has been installed, WaveRunner allows
you to verify wireless drops, signal coverage and test for channel interference.
In order to validate your wireless LAN deployment , WaveRunner helps
you to ensure:
- Clients are connecting to each AP
- All APs are configured correctly
- Coverage is sufficient
- Wired Equivalency Protocol (WEP) is working
- Troubleshooting - WaveRunner allows you to perform wireless
connectivity troubleshooting so trouble tickets are closed faster. Using
its Ping, Throughput and web tools, you can drill down to specific conversations
to determine if the:
- Client can see the AP
- WEP is configured correctly
- Client can see key devices
- Capacity management - Once wireless has been installed, WaveRunner
allows you to verify wireless drops, signal coverage and test for channel
interference. In order to validate your wireless LAN deployment , WaveRunner
helps you to ensure:
